With just 1 week to go until Suncébeat 8 kicks off, it’s becoming almost impossible to contain our excitement!
We will be heading to Croatia once again, to be in the thick of the action during the week-long celebration of all things House, Disco, Groove, Soul, R&B and beyond. Situated right on the edge of the stunning Adriatic Sea, The Garden festival site in Tisno really is a beautiful place to party.
SuncéBeat’s eighth edition promises to maintain the same fun loving, soulful charm of its predecessors. With the festival’s legacy built on the spirit of togetherness and good vibes, David Morales returns with another uplifting performance in 2017 – having previously laid down an emotionally charged tribute set to Frankie Knuckles in the year of his passing.
Baltimore torch bearers DJ Spen and Karizma join a host of Stateside all-stars on the bill, with Los Angeles tastemaker Doc Martin, masterful hip-hop and house producer Spinna, and Body & Soul co-founder Danny Krivit reading as a who’s who of heritage house.
Parisian crate-digger Jeremy Underground will provide a masterclass in rare house cuts, whilst South African duo Black Motion and rising star Jazzuelle further emphasize Suncébeat’s international appeal – with the latter making his Croatia debut. Famed disco remixer John Morales sits alongside Terrence Parker and festival residents Souldynamic, whilst the likes of Sandy Rivera, Rich Medina, Ronnie Herrel and Groove Assassin also join the party.
In addition, an appearance by Louie & Anane Vega – who together front their ‘Sunset Ritual’ brand – further emphasises the festival’s tight-knit community feel, while one of Africa’s most promising acts Shimza is confirmed to feature. Def Mix representative Henry Romero will make his SuncéBeat debut. Rising star of the French house community Manoo will return this year, with soul Star Natasha Watts performing live.
This year’s impressive line up will be spread across The Garden Site and it’s three stages, as well as 2 vintage vessels for the boat parties – with after-hours sessions at the world-class Barbarella’s club.
